A stunning Georgian 14K-18K Yellow Gold Poison Ring with delicate enamel floral design and intricately worked cannetille decorations on the border of the squarish ring face and its shoulders. The ring has a secret compartment that opens up which would have stored mementos or personal keepsakes such as a lock of hair or a portrait of a love one.
More popularly known as poison rings where the compartment concealed a small dose of poison just enough to assassinate a rival by a subtle flick of the hand over their goblet of wine. Although it's hard to imagine this ring could be part of such a deed.
This rare piece would be a standout addition in a jewellery collection.
