A highly sought after QU'HIER QUE DEMAIN love pendant in 18K solid gold that will be a wonderful addition to your collection!
The text reads "qu'hier que demain" and translates to "More than yesterday less than tomorrow" from a famous poem by Rosemonde Gerard she penned in 1889 for her husband.
This piece is square with a smooth surface and polished and raised text. The plus sign has a diamond set while the minus sign has three baguette-cut synthetic rubies embedded.
The back surface is perfect for engraving initials or a date and is by Alphonse Augis, a French jeweler from Lyon, with A.Augis signature that is legible on the front of pendant.
The first medals were made from 1907, this one is around 1970. It is in very good condition.
