A lovely antique Lover's Eye locket pendant crafted out of 9K Rose Gold that was originally a brooch in circa Georgian period and was later converted into a pendant in the early Victorian era.
The painting of the eye was most likely added to the locket during that time too. The Lover's Eye painting is bordered by a halo of seed pearls that frames the eye so beautifully and is protected by a glass cover. I love the different pearl hues which gives the pendant so much character.
The back of the pendant is a hinged glass cover that can be lifted open where another keepsake can be kept. Currently a teal blue velvet cloth sits in the compartment and matches the mood of the locket.
