An exquisite antique diamond, ruby, sapphire and pearl sword brooch crafted in 14K-18K Yellow Gold with the diamonds set in silver from circa 1890s.
The sword handle is incredibly intricate with 3 pearls above the hilt which has a bezel set oval faceted ruby and the guard section encrusted with rose-cut diamonds with a round sapphire set in the center.
The sword motif can symbolize power, protection and courage.
The brooch features a trombone clasp which was popular in European jewellery from the 1890s to the mid-20th century.
