This antique Victorian diamond and turquoise curb-link bracelet is crafted in 18K yellow gold, with five decorative oval openwork links alternating with sections of curb-link chain. Three openwork links are each centred with a claw-set cabochon turquoise, while two old European-cut diamonds are claw-set in the intervening openwork links, adding bright sparkle against the soft blue. A concealed box clasp and an attached safety chain provide added security.
Turquoise was a favourite of the Victorian era, often given as a token of friendship and devotion and believed to bring protection and good fortune. Paired with the glow of old European-cut diamonds, it gives this bracelet a romantic, distinctly period feel.
