I call this the Marie Antoinette Ring because it reminds me of a painting of her wearing a pale blue dress with a strand of pearls around her neck and plumes of white soft feathers in her hair.
A Victorian era ring crafted out of 18K Yellow Gold featuring central half pearl, flanked by two old mine cut diamonds held in a belcher setting that sparkle tirelessly. The diamonds are spectacular examples, and have an estimated colour G-H and Clarity VS1-2.
The shoulders are decorated with pastel blue enamel that run down the shoulders in a scale like design and the pearl is nested in a closed backing that the jewellery community affectionately call the "ring butt". A truly remarkable piece to add to your collection.
The ring was sent to my gemologist and he said it is likely a natural pearl.
