A juicy oval garnet pendant crafted out of 9K Rose Gold from circa 1910s, Edwardian era. The garnet is bezel set and has a deep red flash that dances in the light and it was likely a cufflink converted to a pendant.
The name garnet is derived from the Latin word 'granatium' meaning pomegranate and legend has it that Persephone ate 6 pomegranate seeds that Hades had given her to ensure her return to the underworld. Garnets symbolise a quick return to a separated love, constancy, truth and faith.
