When my jeweller told me he had a few pearl necklaces that he rescued and asked if I were interested in getting some for myself, it got me thinking how I could possibly repurpose and reinvent them. The pearls had a slight teardrop shape which reminded me of the Greek mythology where pearls are said to be the tears of joy shed by Aphrodite, the goddess of love. Out of that came this pearl drop threader earring.
They can be worn long, or threaded through multiple ear piercings for an edgier look.
