A wonderful Arts & Crafts era ring with a principal amethyst and accent pearls mounted in gold from circa early 1900s, in a floral and foliate design dotted with seed pearls and a saturated purple amethyst that gives the most beautiful finger coverage.
The ring face has an organic navette shape with leaves and a flower and the stem of the leaf forming the shank.
The inner shank is hallmarked with 14K and Walton & Co makers mark.
Walton & Co was a famous Los Angeles/San Francisco jeweler, specialising and known for their high quality figurative Nouveau and Arts and Crafts jewelry from 1900 -1920. The Met has one piece in their collection and their pieces are highly collectable.
