A Victorian 15K Yellow Gold Starburst Brooch with safety chain set with luminous Moonstones from circa 1900s. The star motif represents guidance, leading one in the direction they were meant to go.

The brooch fastens with a 'C' clasp and a long metal pin which is then secured by a C-shaped piece of metal that the pin can be hooked underneath, securing it in place.
These clasps were popular throughout the Victorian era, from around 1850 until 1910. It is also attached to a safety chain and pin.
