A small but mighty QU’HIER QUE DEMAIN love pendant crafted in solid 18K gold—an iconic and meaningful addition to any jewellery collection. The inscription “qu’hier que demain” translates to “More than yesterday, less than tomorrow,” a romantic line from a poem written in 1889 by Rosemonde Gérard for her husband.
The pendant features a softly textured background, with the lettering, plus and minus signs polished and raised for elegant contrast. The reverse is engraved with initials JB and or a date, 22-5-1954.
Created by Alphonse Augis, the celebrated French jeweller from Lyon, this piece bears a clearly legible A.A maker’s mark on the front, along with the French Eagle Head hallmark and A.A stamp on the bail and DEPOSE on the reverse. First produced in 1907, this example dates to the 1950s and remains in very good condition.
